Overview

The Cyber Security Engineer 3 is responsible for creating and documenting a secure computing environment that protects against unauthorized access modification or destruction.

What you will be doing

  • Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge
  • Use security tools and resolve security complex issues to defeat complex threats. Use vulnerability assessments to ensure that systems are protected from known and potential threats; perform acquisition and vendor risk assessments
  • Design, implement, and maintain security solutions that protect or govern information needs of the organization
  • Respond to and resolve complex reported security incidents; provide details of security incidents for escalations
  • Monitor systems for anomalies, disruption and respond accordingly
  • Create, maintain, and modernize security processes, policies, documentation, and instructions
  • Conduct security vulnerability research in areas relevant to the company and provide recommendations needed on imminent threats discussed within the cyber security community
  • Support team in establishing and enforcing security complex standards including the build and maintain recovery procedures for systems to ensure our active and relevant controls work
  • Assist in the development and design of security policies ranging from account management, password/key management to vulnerability/threat assessment
  • Evaluate and recommend new or replacement security technologies for purchase
  • Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; may provide feedback to leadership on technical abilities of team
  • Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy

What will make you successful

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience as an IT Security Administrator within private, public, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Operating systems and products
  • Significant experience with Unix Operating systems
  • Experience with automation tools and security tools
  • Experience with anti-malware, file integrity monitoring and data loss prevention tools
  • Significant experience with applying security fundamentals and networking concepts
  • CISSP, GIAC or other security certifications
  • COMP TIA Security certification or equivalent experience
  • Strong collaboration skills applied successfully within team as well as with other teams
  • Strong oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Driven to learn and stay current professionally
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of security fundamentals and networking concepts
  • Up to 10% travel time required

Based on individual states’ employment laws, the following details are to comply with the relevant salary posting requirements: base salary range of $80,800-121,200 and eligible for bonus and benefits
