Head of Partnership Development, Nordics

AIG is looking for a Head of Partnership Development, to join our Nordic Consumer operation. The position can be based in any of our Nordic offices (Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, Oslo) and will report directly to our Nordic Head of Accident & Health. As part of the role, you will be part of the Nordic A&H Leadership team.

Team overview

The Nordic Consumer team consist of approximately 35 dedicated professionals (underwriters, sales) focusing on Group and Individual A&H; Critical Illness, Payment Protection, Travel Insurance and Accident. The team is located across the Nordic offices and ensures that AIG strategic objectives are met. The team works closely with various external partners as well as with the broader AIG organization.

Position Overview

As a key member of the Consumer team, the Partnership Development Manager will work with all consumer products focusing on Partnership Development and account management of existing partnerships. The candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Development of partnership strategy and action plan.
  • Define and execute strategy and action plan to develop partnerships in the Nordics including affinity partners and lead sponsors to the Nordic Direct Marketing channel.
  • Identify, prospect, and acquire partners through disciplined consultative sales process.
  • Manage end-to-end execution of deliverables and achievement of milestones.
  • Close deals and ensure conversion of opportunities.
  • Meet financial sales targets and Partnership P&L.

Product development

  • Drive product innovation based on market needs and opportunities for growth.

Partnerships’ renewals and expand existing programs

  • Strategic development of the partnerships according to defined governance model.
  • Account management.

Collaboration with multiple stakeholders to plan and execute business

  • Collaborate closely with Direct Marketing and Consumer Underwriting team to manage and serve partners in the most optimal way.
  • Partner with Regional & Global A&H teams to leverage best practices, identify opportunities and execute business.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and compliance to have the overview of onboarding partners.

What we’re looking for:

  • Successful experience in a similar role with an insurer or broker.
  • Expertise in Consumer insurance distribution, namely affinity/partner driven distribution.
  • Successful track record of identifying, engaging and winning/Affinity partnerships.
  • Digital savvy and understanding of digital ecosystems in the context of insurance opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills as well as project management skills.
  • Understanding of consumer insurance underwriting fundamentals. 
  • Speak minimum one Nordic language fluently and ability to work in English on a daily basis.
