Job Description

As a valued contributor to our Housing Equity Strategy & Impact team, you will advise internal stakeholders on our housing equity efforts and serve as a liaison to the businesses. In this role, you will collaborate with and provide guidance to the businesses on our commitments and effectively partner to deliver on our housing equity strategic initiatives. You will monitor progress against objectives, milestones and manage reporting to our regulator. You will also be involved in leading or supporting speaking opportunities, both internally and externally.

The Housing Equity Strategy & Impact Portfolio Management Advisor will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

Drive Execution:

  • Actively engage in the attainment of Fannie Mae’s corporate strategic objectives for our housing equity and stability key obstacles with an emphasis on the development and execution of our multi-year Equitable Housing Finance Plan.
  • Support regulatory efforts, that include the development and publication of our annual Equitable Housing Finance performance report, that enable the design, implementation, tracking and quarterly reporting of our regulatory directives for equitable housing finance.

Build out and Integration:

  • Support cross-functional efforts and engagements with a range of internal and external stakeholders that includes Single-family, Multi-family, Capital Markets, Legal, Credit Risk Teams, Fair lending, Economic Strategy & Research, Marketing and Communications, Government & Industry Relations, etc. and our roster of Tier 1 strategic industry partners that enable business execution.
  • Use the consumer housing journeys to support the development of business cases and problem solving with internal/external stakeholders on our housing equity actions.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to develop standard work and drive continuous improvement of our processes, reporting and ongoing engagements with internal stakeholders. 

Drive Transparency:

  • Use the consumer housing journeys to support and/or lead speaking engagements, with internal and external audiences that amplify the awareness and adoption of Fannie Mae solutions that include our housing equity strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 6 years experience in the housing industry (includes the primary and secondary market)
  • Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize projects and proactively drive portfolio of work forward (in collaboration with team members) to meet required timelines and deliverables
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills at all levels, including communicating in writing or verbally, planning and distributing communication, etc.
  • Skilled in building and presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Adept at managing multiple project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
  • Influencing skills including negotiating , facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Collaborating with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • Relationship Management skills including managing and engaging stakeholders (at all levels), customers, and strategic industry partners (trade groups, advocates, researchers, practitioners, etc.), building relationship networks, aligned commitments, etc. that advance our housing equity efforts.

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent

The hiring range for this role is set forth on each of our job postings located on Fannie Mae's Career Site.
