Database Administration is the process of administering to the physical aspects of the customer database. Physical administration would include the creation, modification, tuning, backing up and recovering of the database.
We are looking for Database Administrators who possess  all or one of the following expertise
Database Administrator - SQL
Database Administrator – IBM DB2
Tasks may involve some or all of the following:

  • establishing the needs of users and monitoring user access and security;
  • mapping out the conceptual design for a planned database;
  • considering both back-end organisation of data and front-end accessibility for end-users;
  • refining the logical design so that it can be translated into a specific data model;
  • further refining the physical design to meet system storage requirements;
  • installing and testing new versions of the DBMS;
  • writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata);
  • controlling access permissions and privileges;
  • developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans;
  • ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly;
  • capacity planning

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Bachelor degree in computer science or engineering or other relevant skill
Fluent English (written and spoken) is required.
DB2 skills and experience (+12 years) to lead or participate in DB2 projects.
DB2 certifications (v7.1, v9.1, v9.x Advanced, v10.1) 
DB2 skills on open systems, SAP integration as well implementing in complex DB2 solutions.  
DB2 on distributed skills and experience (+12 years) to lead or participate in DB2 projects.
