  • Use sound statistical methodology to conduct studies relating to the life cycle of the product. In development-phase projects, prepare the statistical component of protocols which meet project objectives, health authority guidelines, and clinical trial methodology standards. Write the statistical analysis plan for the study
  • Apply statistical knowledge and experience to the design of clinical studies, ensuring that study objectives can be met. This requires calculation of sample size and power, as well as determination of appropriate design assumptions
  • Design, plan, and execute device data management plans for clinical research projects
  • Design, develop, evaluate, and modify computer programs to evaluate clinical and medical device data
  • Recognize inconsistencies and initiate resolution of data problems. Implement data management plans designed to meet project and protocol deadlines. Plan, coordinate, and execute programming for database manipulations, transfer, and analysis of data for internal and external clients
  • Summarize and interpret data into tabular and graphical formats amenable to principles of statistical inference and be responsible for the statistical component of reports describing studies, outcomes, and methods used
  • Identify potential threats to study credibility and validity, and work with the study team to prevent, track, and manage potential problems
  • Interpret statistical and clinical findings and ensure that regulatory submissions, reports, and manuscripts accurately reflect the data collected
  • Write Results and Methods sections of clinical reports, abstracts, and manuscripts as needed

Must Haves

  • University Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or similar
  • Proven senior/expert experience in Statistics or Biostatistics area
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methodology in clinical trials and real-world data studies
  • Excellent prioritization & organizational skills
  • Extensive programming experience with SQL, SAS, R, and/or Python
  • Excellent communicational skills, positive attitude
  • Fluent English, both verbally and written

Nice To Haves

  • Strong skillset, including regression modelling, longitudinal analysis (including mixed models), modelling & simulations, interim analysis, missing data strategies, multiple testing strategies, and real-world evidence
  • Matlab/Java/Tableau experience
  • Relevant experience within the medical device industry
