The Role

The People & Culture Coordinator will support the US Game Studios People & Culture team as well as the business by assisting in the development and execution of HR initiatives that ensure Warner bros. Discovery remains an employer of choice, providing solutions to employee-related matters, and assisting with general project management, conflict resolution, relationship management, etc. This position relies heavily on the use of Excel (including complex formulas) and Workday. This position will be located in San Francisco, and will support 5 People & Culture Partners who manage 6 games studios throughout the US while serving as the onsite P&C point of contact for local employees based in that location.

The People & Culture Coordinator will be a positive self-starter who can think strategically about big picture business goals as well as tactically execute a full range of People & Culture initiatives. In this dynamic culture, the role will serve as a partner to the business and a liaison with the broader HR community of Warner Bros. Discovery. Candidates for this position should be innovative, solution-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and be able to engage with colleagues across level, location, and discipline. The role must effectively work in a fast-paced creative environment, bringing an energy and enthusiasm to the function, founded in sound strategy. 

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Support the San Francisco Game Studio as the on-site People & Culture support for employees.
  • Serve as a People & Culture point of contact for the US Game Studios People & Culture team, intake information/requests from employees and managers, and assist US Game Studios People & Culture team to resolve in a proactive and positive manner.
  • Handle routine inquiries and correspondences for the employee population covered by the US Game Studios People & Culture team.
  • Provide project coordination and assist in the implementation of corporate programs, talent management, compensation planning, employee development, succession planning, performance management, change management initiatives, etc.
  • Coordinate with WFA to get employee transactions processed in Workday.
  • Handle on-boarding and off-boarding process for all employees (full-time, temporary and intern).
  • Manage the contingent labor process for assigned groups leveraging internal systems and helping managers coordinate with external temporary agencies to meet their needs.
  • Support the team with data and analytical insights, using Excel (including complex formulas) and pulling reports from multiple systems, including Workday.
  • Create presentation decks, charts, graphs, and various materials, as needed.
  • Apply and communicate company policies.
  • Develop strong working relationships with all People & Culture COE functions (including Recruitment, Learning & Development, HRIS, Compensation & Benefits) to provide seamless support and guidance to the business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience within Human Resources
  • Collaborative working style
  • Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn, grow and develop
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Strong in communicating with others and builds strong relationships with colleagues and employees
  • Good judgment and ability to balance the needs of the company and employees
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organization and project management skills
  • High level of proficiency with Excel formulas, formatting, pivot tables and other analytical functions
  • Working knowledge of compensation and benefits practices
  • Experience in working with a culturally diverse workforce
  • Knowledge of national, state and local Employee and Labor Relations practices, laws and regulations

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $42,224.00 - $78,416.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
