Position Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the expanding Shared Service Centres, in a company considered a global leader in its field. The successful candidate will join the Record to Report (RtR) Accounting Operations Team. They will be deadline driven, with an excellent ability to learn and grow. The candidate must be able to work at pace in a corporate, multi-task environment. Computer literacy and attention to detail are essential. Candidates must demonstrate a thorough approach to completing processes, with the ability to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in data.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accounting journal entries for monthly close transactional activities, including but not limited to: payroll, operating leases, petty cash, travel & expense, standardized journal entries.
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations for low risk general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.
  • Operate ERP systems to complete automated procedures, including Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) load procedures.
  • Maintain the company’s Costar system to record operating leases
  • Perform control procedures to ensure compliance SOX
  • Support requests from external and internal auditors as well as various groups company-wide
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as requested

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in transactional roles, including Intercompany, PtP, OtC; or minimum 1 year experience in equivalent RtR role
  • Accuracy is required in performing all aspects of the role
  • Previous experience in a large scale organisation would be beneficial
  • Ability to work well under time constraints
  • Computer literacy, including MS Excel
  • Proficient in English
