Job Description

Planet Interactive is seeking two remote UX/UI Designers to join one of our agency clients. 

Please note that though this is a remote role, no matter where you are located, you will need to be available to work 8am-5pm PST. 

Hourly Rate: $40-$50/hr depending on experience 

UX/UI Designer Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and champion user-centered design principles throughout the product development process.
  • Produce & deliver high-quality deliverables, including wireframes, sitemaps, flow diagrams, prototypes, presentations, use cases, customer journeys, and personas functional requirements, landscape analyses, development-ready files, and other creative assets, in both low and high fidelity, while maintaining refined file management and adhering to component best practices.
  • Possesses a strong ability to manage ambiguity and respond with agility to the fast-paced world of marketing/advertising.
  • Collaborate & Communicate with key stakeholders, cross-functional teams, external consultants, and creative partners.
  • Develop and refine interaction patterns and micro-interactions to enhance user engagement.
  • Contribute to and maintain a design system to ensure consistency and scalability of design elements. Maintain a thorough understanding of component design best practices.
  • Review, approve, and collaborate with fellow product designers to ensure adherence to design files and design system standards.
  • Partner with strategy, data analytics, and user researchers to conduct comprehensive consumer studies.
  • Mentor junior creatives, providing guidance and support to foster their creative development and ensure their professional growth.
  • Continuously stay ahead of the curve by keeping abreast of industry best practices, emerging design technologies, and innovative trends that contribute to brand advancement.
  • Ensure designs meet accessibility standards, making products usable by as many people as possible.
  • Problem-solving expertise, encompassing the ability to carefully balance user needs, business priorities, technical constraints, and marketing considerations to deliver an optimal experience solution for all parties.
  • Creative brainstorming, including sketching ideas, leading and participating in brainstorms or collaboration sessions. Leverage wireframes, landscape analyses, audits, research, data analytics, insights. 

UX/UI Designer Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience of 5+ years as a User Experience Designer/Interaction Designer, Product Designer, Experience Designer or a similar role. 
  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related area/equivalent experience. 
  • Mastery of design and prototyping software including but not limited to: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite. 
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, iOS, Android, and other digital technologies. 
  • Familiarity with core interaction patterns, digital interface best practices, including accessibility fundamentals. 
  • Experience in Information Architecture (IA), Usability, Interaction Design(ID) and Visual Design.
  • Experience in a large agency or consultancy setting, or Fortune 1000-level corporate marketing/design experience. 
  • Experience in Automotive is a plus. 
  • Proven ability to solve complex product design problems and the strategic acumen to deliver best-in-class solutions. 
  • Demonstrated capability to synthesize and present findings, effectively articulating design rationale. 
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills, along with the ability to construct a compelling narrative across diverse formats. 
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven track record of meeting both short and long-term deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 
  • Strong execution and a keen eye for detail, encompassing all aspects of design, from conceptual thinking to prototyping and rapid iteration. 
  • Strong understanding of industry trends.
  • Experience utilizing research and applying insights to design work.
  • Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Experience working within a developed, large-scale digital design system; experience in developing design systems is a plus.
