Operations Associate - Jakarta

Fitch Ratings’ Core Operations team is currently seeking an Operations Associate based out of our Jakarta office.

Core Operations is focused on creating the most efficient operating environment for the analytical teams by bringing consistency and standardization to all operational aspects of the rating process. This position involves working collaboratively with members of the analytical teams, IT and others to ensure that procedures and applications developed to support the process meet the needs of the users and support compliance with the Company’s overall business and regulatory requirements.

We’ll Count on You To:

  • Be the first point of call for analysts with system or workflow related questions
  • Provide a wide range of analytical support services for the overall credit analysis function
  • Liaise with members of the IT and other teams to solve system related problems, 
  • Identify problems with current systems, recommending solutions and procedures to streamline/improve current processes and provide highest quality support to the global analytical community
  • Test current system enhancements before release
  • Devise training, as required, for analytical teams and deliver the training in various formats such as email, conference calls, in person.
  • Encourage and support efficient and compliant best practices.
  • Once fully trained, provide early shift coverage on a rota basis, to ensure all offices in the Asia-Pacific region receive support. Early shift to run from 6am – 3pm Jakarta time and rotate with other local team members
  • Assist with regular and ad hoc operational projects and reporting

What You Need:

  • Experience managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines along with the general desire to learn about the ratings and Core Operations processes
  • Strong customer focus with the commitment to providing exceptional client service
  • Highly self-motivated, flexible, proactive and adaptable to change
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as time management skills
  • Quick learner with excellent attention to detail, proficiency in Excel and extensive use of proprietary applications
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • A bachelor’s degree in information systems, finance, accounting, economics or other relevant areas
  • 1-2 years of experience at a global financial services organization
  • Experience in creating documentation, designing workflow or operational processes.
  • Experience in data management and fixed income knowledge
  • Experience in a Help Desk / Customer Support role
