Business Development Manager Woundcare in Orthopedics for The Netherlands

Our client is responsible for the commercialization of a medical devices portfolio. Through training, research and innovative products they enable surgeons to improve outcomes in various specialties.

Currently we are recruiting for a Business Development Manager (BDM) woundcare in orthopedics for The Netherlands.

The BDM will drive business performance, grow market share and will be responsible for engaging customers to become promoters of the products and the company.

This person will focus on promoting specific products within target accounts using available marketing assets and studies. The BDM will be part of and work closely together with the sales team and sales & marketing to ensure the highest impact of their work. This person is the voice of the customer inside the business and needs to be passionate about the user experience and the value it creates for tis user. Key in this role is understanding the market through getting deep insights and creating strategies that work with a flawless execution.

The tasks will include

  • Manage customer relationships and drive sales for selected accounts, serving as the main point of contact for the assigned products by regularly visiting the selected accounts
  • Identifies the best targets within Orthopaedic surgery and ensures the go to market strategy is defined and executed flawless
  • Monitors if strategy is well executed and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Support customers with clinical and commercial questions (e.g. product-related questions, indications, conditions)
  • Consult with customers regarding usage of medical device portfolio, suggest product alternatives, provide demonstrations and trainings where applicable
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the sales team and marketing team to bring the best to the customers
  • Establishes partnerships with medical societies, opinion leaders, customers and other enterprises.
  • Address (incl. follow-up on) customer inquiries on products, indications, back orders, order status, price, complaints etc.
  • Considered expert in field within the organization.
  • Act as an entrepreneur; turn strategies into actionable plans and flawless execution

The skills required

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree preferably in life science or equivalent by experience
  • Commercial experience in a hospital environment and a network in orthopedics is a requirement
  • Persistent, agile and collaborative mindset
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage actively to establish relationships
  • Excellent influencing communication and presentation skills;
  • Determination to succeed
  • Team player with the ability to work alone;
  • Entrepreneurial;
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic;
  • Goal / target orientated
  • Organized in order to monitor adequately the administration of his/her territory in compliance with company; procedures and this within the set deadlines
  • PC skills
  • Fluency in Dutch & English
  • Driving license.
