Description

About Us

At HDR, we specialize in engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services. While we are most well-known for adding beauty and structure to communities through high-performance buildings and smart infrastructure, we provide much more than that. We create an unshakable foundation for progress because our multidisciplinary teams also include scientists, economists, builders, analysts and artists. That's why we believe diversity is our greatest strength. HDR is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.

Watch Our Story:' https://www.hdrinc.com/our-story'

We believe that the way we work can add meaning and value to the world. That ideas inspire positive change. That coloring outside the lines can illuminate fresh perspectives. And that small details yield important realizations. Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.

HDR is seeking a national business class lead (BCL) for our fisheries facilities design group within the Water Business Group. The BCL will work with the Fisheries Business Class Director, Business Class peers, and HDR peers to execute our fisheries facilities design business across the United States and Canada. In a technical role, the person will focus on technical development, coordination, cross-discipline delivery, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of Business Class staff and technical execution. The BCL will also focus on technical quality assurance, project execution, delivery, consultation, and mentoring. This leadership role will include oversight for project delivery and engineering design tasks in the planning and design of fish hatcheries and aquaculture systems throughout the United States and Canada. Experience in the design of upstream and downstream fish collection facilities, fish passage and screening, acclimation facilities, and aquaculture water treatment is desirable. We also welcome candidates with experience in engineering design of drinking water, wastewater, or raw water systems, pump stations, water or wastewater treatment, or water resource projects. Experience in the development of digital models, plans, specifications, and other supporting documentation (project documents) for bidding and construction for multidisciplined projects is especially required. The successful candidate will join a strong fisheries team and have the opportunity to collaborate directly with nationally recognized senior fisheries engineers and biologists.
