POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Art Director, Photography plays a key role in supporting the Art Director, Senior Director, Creative and Brand, and Creative Director across photography projects. This position involves overseeing all E-commerce photography requirements, encompassing both still life and on-figure photography, along with in-studio editorials. The ideal candidate should possess quick-thinking abilities and problem-solving skills. Collaboration with the Graphic Design and Retouching Teams is essential to ensure timely delivery of all imagery. The Associate Art Director will be responsible for providing detailed retouching instructions after each photoshoot. Additionally, they will lead the conceptualization and direction of in-studio editorials for both Eloquii and CUUP brands.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Production to coordinate and secure all photoshoot crews within brand budget guidelines.
- Assist Sample Coordinator and Merchandising teams in preparing shoot racks, ensuring seamless execution.
- Provide support to Art Director and Senior Director as needed across various projects.
- Continuously research and scout new talent and models for E-commerce and Editorial purposes.
- Oversee entire photoshoot process from inception to completion, including communicating retouching instructions post-shoot.
- Develop and design creative presentations for review by Creative and photography teams.
- Work closely with Graphic Design to ensure imagery aligns with layout design requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in photography or graphic design
- 2+ years of photo art direction experience required
- Proficient in CaptureOne, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative: a “can-do” attitude.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for effective interaction with all levels of company management
