ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking applications from experienced Enrolled Nurses for permanent part-time night shifts at our Residential Care facility in Coolbellup. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working scheduled afternoon shifts previously. This is a 40-bed facility with a mixture of high care and dementia residents therefore experience in a similar environment is essential.

This role is 27 hours per fortnight and you must be able to commit to all the shifts listed below to be considered for the position;

Week 1

Saturday: 1500-2215

Sunday: 1500-2215

Week 2

Saturday: 1500-2215

Sunday: 1500-2215

Duties include:

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of residents through appropriate assessments
• Contribute in the allocation of workload.
• Support residents with care requirements in line with scope of practice
• Monitor and assist in administering medications
• Provide oversight and leadership to your care staff
• Motivate your team and supervise shifts
• Complete reporting and documentation based on requirement
• Undertake continuous improvement

ABOUT YOU:

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working as an Enrolled Nurse in an Aged Care facility and a passion for providing the highest level of care to all our residents. You must be able to work productively within a team environment and adapt to the changes in level of care required

Essential Criteria

• Current unrestricted registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Aged Care facility or Geriatrics ward as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Valid Police Clearance less than 6 months old (or provide a receipt at interview stage)
• Excellent organisational and time management skills –
• Strong leadership skills 
• Experience working with residents with Dementia 
• Be able to pass a pre-employment physical assessment
