Summary:

The VP, Operations – T&D is responsible for driving strategic decision-making and outcomes on the company’s highest priority projects and initiatives across the business. Reporting directly into the Chief Operating Officer, this role will serve as a trusted partner who will look for opportunities to optimize the current business operations while keeping perspective of the overall market and strategic objectives of the business. The VP, Operations – T&D is responsible for prioritizing efforts and resources to achieve maximum impact and can pivot from very hands-on and detail oriented, to strategic and long-term focused.

Requirements:

  • Manages centralized repository of processes and improves processes to minimize complexities and optimize to promote effective operations. Runs organizational planning and business rhythm processes in alignment with all other functions to develop quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs), resource and capital plans, and QBRs.
  • Gathers and analyzes data, formulates, and tests hypotheses, synthesizes findings, provides strategic insights, develops go-forward plans, and helps drive and translate recommendations into results.
  • Takes ownership in solving some of the company's most critical strategic problems, implementing new initiatives, and supporting operations teams.
  • Works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand problems and develop critical insights. Goes beyond the data to dig in and help operationally drive results.
  • Develops, reviews, re-defines, and implements the business strategy for business operations departments.
  • Develops and reviews budgets, staffing plans, organization, and hiring/development of employees across different positions.
  • Understands the financial media business and offers expertise and substantial experience in oversight of Operations Management.
  • Flexible regarding changing and conflicting priorities, able to easily shift gears in terms of behavior and attitude in response to ambiguity and the needs of the situation.
  • Operates Company aligned vehicle for project site visits and business trips.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures an effective Talent Management process for talent identification, talent development and coaching, performance management, and succession planning.

  • Owns the management, tracking, and reporting of the company structure, performance, metrics, and processes within the Operations part of the business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction or Business-Preferred
  • Master's degree-Preferred
  • 10+ years of Operations Experience-Required
  • 10+ years of Management Experience-Required
  • Domestic Travel: 31%-50%
  • Valid Driver’s License Required

Anticipated base salary range: $230,000 - $271,000 

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.

The work environment and physical demands characteristics are representative of those the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
