Scopely is looking for a Senior Director of Product Management to join our YAHTZEE with Buddies in Barcelona on a hybrid basis working 2-3 days a week from the hub!

YAHTZEE is one of our casual free-to-play mobile games and is a classic board game with a new look. The team is based in Europe and the US, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.

We are looking for an industry expert who is intimately aware of game KPIs and possesses a deep understanding of the systems and mechanics that move metrics. You will help define the game’s roadmap strategy and vision by driving the entire feature lifecycle from the initial design phase through live-game optimization. You will do that by leading an all-star team of Product Managers, Game Designers, UX Designers, UI Designers, Artists, and Animators in the creation of features with cross-functional teams, culminating in genre-defining outcomes.

What You Will Do 

• Help define the long-term vision of the game and feature roadmap. Prioritize a roadmap with parallel, often competing KPI impacting deliverables. Work with your leadership team to hit aggressive targets to optimize the lifetime value of the player base
• Manage and grow a team of talented Product Managers, Game Designers, UX Designers, UI Designers, Artists, and Animators
• Formulate product strategy and drive the team to create engaging game mechanics and core game loops
• Have a CEO-like mindset and own every aspect of a convincing roadmap that achieves KPI goals set by you and the Product Team
• See through the feature development from concept to launch, from post-launch analysis to ongoing optimization, to deliver best-in-class polished features that meet the product vision
• Conduct quantitative analyses of data to provide key insights into product performance and uncover opportunities for further engagement and monetization
• Leverage player feedback and game data to inform roadmap and feature design solutions. Use competitive market research to identify future opportunities and feature best practices
• Help identify inefficiencies and provide long-term solutions in our feature development process and live operation process & tooling to further drive operational excellence

What We’re Looking For 

• Extensive experience as a Product leader, ideally in mobile F2P live casual games
• Extensive experience as a senior manager, managing managers, ideally previous experience in managing Directors
• Passion for creating great games and addictive user experiences
• Ability to make sense of large sets of data and metrics with a focus on data-driven decision-making
• Ability to effectively balance the needs of technology, business, and user experience
• Aptitude and ability to manage a complex ecosystem with players in different life cycles and spend propensity
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Able to articulate the “why” instead of just the “how” and “what” to drive team-wide alignment on product vision
• Ability to deploy people where it has the highest impact, understand tradeoffs, anticipate & mitigate risks from afar, manage expectations & maintain high quality of deliverables
• Able to create & design experiences that shape player behavior
• Leadership to raise the quality bar, engaging and inspiring other product leads to deliver the best possible quality
• Mindset: critical, analytical, and creative thinker with attention to detail, strong in execution, entrepreneurial and outcome-driven, growth-minded, and low ego
