Stantec’s Science & Technology Practice seeks to find a Principal Leader to join our growing US West team. As a leader you will work independently to assist clients through the planning and creation of cutting-edge design that result in solutions respectful of the construction budget. Your experience ensures you are quite familiar with construction plans, specifications, estimates and building codes and have experience in all phases of planning and design of lab facilities. You will be managing and developing client relationships and working with senior laboratory planners, project architects, and in-house disciplines to lead the development of integrated design proposals, develop and manage integrated work plans, manage project financials, and coordinate with clients, while leading and mentoring others and collaborating with team members to contribute to the final deliverables. We are looking for teammates who can create and foster solutions, maintain a fast-paced mindset, and interested in growing within an emerging practice.
Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of lab design and delivery, be an active listener, nurture long-lasting client relations, connect the ideal Stantec disciplines and team members with opportunities, pursue new projects in your region and across North America, while challenge and inspire your colleagues every day to be their very best. You will be supported by the full breadth and depth of the Global S&T Sector team and will have the opportunity to develop integrated design proposals for world-class projects in partnership with top tier marketing, while leading and mentoring others and collaborating with team members to contribute to the final deliverables—bringing inspiration to your daily practice.

Education and Experience
Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture
Licensed and credentialed Architect in the State of California
15 years of experience in the architecture and S&T industry
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Salary Range(s):
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
