The Senior IT Auditor position offers qualified candidates an opportunity to work in a diverse team to enhance their leadership, presentation, project management, problem-solving, critical thinking, investigation, and collaboration skills. The Senior IT Auditor is responsible for leading audit teams of 1 – 4 team members in a wide variety of projects while interacting with all levels of Ashland management. The role provides exposure to the commercial units, operations, compliance and resource groups and to the different regions of the world. Analytical, accounting, financial reporting, internal control, information technology, risk assessment and report writing skills are used and developed in the role.

As a Senior IT Auditor, you will be leading audit projects from start to finish, which includes identifying and assessing project risks and controls, developing audit programs, performing audit work, and reporting agreed-upon results to management and other stakeholders.

Project responsibilities include the following:

  • Review General Computing Controls to ensure that IT processes and systems comply with leading practices and/or applicable regulations and standards. 
  • Verify the existence of appropriate controls (e.g., security, integration, automated functionality) for new and existing information systems – application and infrastructure. 

You will be reporting to the Global IT Audit Leader in the United States.

Profile

  • Two - five plus years of experience in public accounting and/or internal auditing; IT background/experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Information Systems or Technology; MBA a plus.
  • Ability to influence and foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present complex concepts in both oral and written format required.
  • Experience executing integrated projects between operational/financial and IT audits.
  • Experience with information systems, compliance, financial or operational auditing a plus.
  • Knowledge of the NIST and COBIT frameworks required.
  • Knowledge of cyber and physical security techniques required.
  • Strong attention to detail with outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, result-driven team environment.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%; this includes global travel.
  • CA, CISA or CIA or in process of obtaining certification.
  • Fluent in English, both in writing and verbal.
  • Sarbanes-Oxley Act application and ITGC/GITC evaluation and testing experience is required.
  • SAP and Microsoft Office required. Experience with commercial data analytic and visualization tools, such as ACL and Tableau preferred.
