Inside the Role

Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA’s core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.

Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.

This position supports logistics planning, production change points, bill of material (Documentation), new product launch preparation, product ramp down management, and the development and implementation of many of the background IT process that are needed for successful production. There are several projects, both product and process, that can assist a student in developing technical, organizational, communication and project skills within our team. Due to the cross-functional nature of the projects, the student will receive great exposure to many different functional areas to assist in future development.

Salary placement is determined by your anticipated graduation year and ranges between $21 - $30 per hour.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Actively contribute and be a part of exciting projects that drive the future within the Daimler Trucks North America organization
  • Cross functionally work with various departments to create a collaborative environment
  • Be an ambassador to Daimler’s inclusive and diverse culture initiatives
  • Support preparation of data for the transition from DIBS to PTSI (SAP)
  • Develop training plans and documentation for new DLCM and M&S processes / systems (PTSI, Coco, various BI tools, etc.)
  • Assist in many process projects within the team, including the development of Power BI tools to support the Supply Chain Management departments (OND and OSD).
  • Develop and/or maintain data with respect to department KPI’s and workload measurements, including process improvement in data collection, visualization and distribution.
  • Support Internal Logistics Planning projects including packaging, material movement processes, IT equipment and manpower.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s/PhD Program from an accredited college/university or have graduated within the last 12 months. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Creative mindset
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
