Role purpose:

As a Procurement Buyer you will be the gate keeper responsible for introducing productivity initiatives, carrying out projects to reduce cost, improving competitive advantage and manage & co-ordinate cross functional teams together with suppliers in order to realize productivity projects.

This role is a part of Greater Balkans Team and works on daily basis with local and European stakeholders and suppliers on coordinating and deploying multiple projects.

  • Please note that this is a temporary role - fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

  • Regularly linkage with Sector & Region Purchasing managers to ensure lifting /shifting of best practices.
  • My Contracts implementation which requires additional accountability for on time Global contract compliance, system, procedures which also covers scopes w/o contract..
  • Being the P2P process owner, ensure that all Key Controls in the Direct Purchasing (supplier selection, contract approval, etc) are in line with Europe Procurement Procedures, GCS framework, and Sector Authorization Matrix.
  • Lead sourcing of new raw materials of new products and new supplier qualification in line with timelines. Lead all information and data flow among quality, R&D and suppliers for vendor assurance and specification approval processes as per PepsiCo Quality Program.
  • Via identifying critical materials list, manage alternative supplier creation for locally managed directs as per Business Continuity Plans.
  • Act as a communication hub between the quality and R&D teams and suppliers to ensure focused plans and execution of demands and between Marketing, SC and Category Leads and Sector SC.
  • Execute current valid playbook commodity strategy. Partner with Sector Category Leads to review commodity coverage approach of COE, and to create new playbooks in line with RO local market dynamics.
  • Maintain locally managed direct materials’ AOP, FC and SBP submission and reporting processes, manage variance analysis. For globally managed materials lead AOP, FC and SBP alignment process among MU Finance and Sector Finance and Purchasing teams.
  • Involve in periodic meetings with production planning, commercialization, internal customers such as marketing, logistics and R&D in order to anticipate needs & take necessary actions to realize better working systems.
  • Ensures code of conduct is adhered to in all supplier relationships.
  • Provide market intelligence for the main commodities as well as competitive intelligence about other players in market.

Leading Execution for Category managed items scope (A):

  • Application of the strategies for Oils, Ingredients, Seasonings, Sugar, HFCS.
  • Maintaining monthly allocation of suppliers to be in line with FC’s/AOP cost structure.
  • Leading & Ensuring GCS’s to be applied.

Managing Sourcing and Leading Execution for locally managed items scope (B) :

  • Lead buying decisions & execute the process of locally managed directs purchasing category of Romania Snacks & Beverages operation. Lead tender process and analysis together with related contracts to be made.
  • Lead execution of strategic relationship management, contract/audit/process compliance, sourcing strategy and tenders, and re-negotiations process related with Ingredients, Additives, Gas, and Other Supplementary Material purchases.

Qualifications

Who`s a good fit for the team:

  • 6-8 years functional experience;
  • University graduate;
  • Fluent in English, written and oral;
  • SAP knowledge;
  • Manage multiple categories within the same track;
  • Anticipate category risks and creates mitigation plans (i.e. forex mitigation actions) as per business needs;
  • Execute cross-functional productivity pipeline development strategy;
  • Identify and voice risk to P&L;
  • Translate procurement language into business finance language;
  • Align users’ needs and influences key stakeholders to gain approval that will create productivity;
  • Negotiate the settlement of claim with suppliers to PepsiCo’s satisfaction;
  • Use personal influence, credibility and knowledge of the business to get things done through others;
  • Knowledge of international trade (import and export);
  • Analytical thinking, good business acumen, knowledge of financial fundamentals;
  • Decision making, Leading skills and Negotiation skills;
  • Good presenting and influencing skills;
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, Motivating and inspiring others;
  • Able to cope with multi task environment;
