JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 

1.    Academic

·         Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering

 

2.    Experience

·         2-3 years relevant working experience in a Manufacturing environment

·         Familiar with Pro-E, SolidWorks or AUTOCAD

·         Good knowledge in Automotive Cable or Harness Assembly Process

·         Familiar with Vision Inspection, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Pneumatics, sensors, motors and other motion control devices

 

3.    Skills

·         Excellent problem solving technique

·         Good Project Management skill and effective in report writing

·         Able to prepare and present Technical knowledge in group setting

·         Good understanding on how a process capability study is conducted and able to interpret results

·         Familiar with Engineering practices, terminology and tolerances associated with fabrication, machining, grinding, wire-cut, EDM, etc …

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Participate in oversea transfer program and ensure assembly machines, tools and processes are installed and qualified promptly for production.

 

  1. Initiate tooling, process and quality improvements to improve productivity.

 

  1. Initiate and implement programs such as scrap reduction, cost reduction of raw material, speed increase of tooling.

 

  1. Assist production and quality departments in analyse and troubleshooting to achieving good quality products.

 

  1. Participate in 6-Sigma projects, Kaizen events and other Improvement activities.

 

  1. Provide Engineering support to the production team during new product start-up and initial production.

 

 

 

  1. Investigate, identify root causes and establish Corrective and Preventive Plan

 

  1. Implement and verify Corrective and Preventive Action effectiveness

 

  1. Perform measurement of products using relevant measuring equipment.

 

  1. Conduct Process FMEA and participate in Design FMEA

 

  1. Create and maintain die drawing, standard work for the production.

 

  1. Provide cost estimates for new of assembly tools to the Project Management Team for project cost simulation.

 

  1. Participate in the concept development of assembly machine and manual tools.

 

  1. Standardize tool design to achieve lead-time, machine speed, cost and safety requirement.

 

  1. Carry out qualification tests on assembly machine and manual tools.

 

  1. Develop and optimize new product manufacturing process.

 

  1. Ensure new assembly machines, tools and processes are documented.

 

  1. Train and guide technicians in tooling maintenance and setup.

 

19. Perform any other duties which may be needed by the company related to engineering and production matters.

 

20.  Follow TE WSH specifications and procedures and ensure that staffs comply.

 

21.  Follow TE specifications and comply with environmental management system’s procedures.
