Job Description

Our Marketing Team drives the development and execution of business growth and customer relationship-focused marketing plans. We are both business strategists and marketing practitioners. We are powerful storytellers, using data-driven decisions to fuel our digital marketing approach.

Working within our regional North America Marketing team, the Account Based Marketing (1:1) Director will have end-to-end responsibility for 1:1 marketing campaign strategy, planning, execution and management, as well as campaign metrics. The individual will be responsible for the development and execution of our ABM strategy, building new programs that target key accounts, provide insights back to sales and account teams and push potential buyers from the 'consider' stage of the buyer journey to 'evaluation' and 'purchase' stage. This role requires an enthusiastic individual with strong communication and organizational skills to lead efforts in building integrated, multi-channel, multi-touch campaigns that are highly targeted.

Responsibilities

  • Be the face of the account-based marketing (1:1) strategy for North America and proactively present to stakeholder groups about the strategy and how it can be leveraged within the business.
  • Lead strategy and execution of 1:1 campaigns, including pursuits, renewals, go lives, marketing channel management and events.
  • Recommend approach for account-based marketing programs to engage key accounts leveraging cutting-edge marketing tactics.
  • Proactively build pipeline of account-based marketing campaigns based on sector/solution strategic objectives, customer lifecycle and business priorities.
  • Develop and manage 1:1 multi-channel marketing campaigns to support business growth objectives.
  • Develop strategy for digital marketing channels including content hubs, website, social media, podcast, and advertising as it relates to 1:1 initiatives.
  • Liaison with Sales leaders and Sales Operations teams to track and manage customer accounts and ensure marketing activity/campaigns are aligned to account strategy.
  • Develop process for effectively tracking customer lifecycle and marketing engagements.
  • Support the planning and execution of customer-focused events.
  • Be a conduit of customer information before and after events and craft customer journeys and go forward plans to continue in person experiences online.
  • Support customer nomination process for hospitality events.
  • Support customers and DHL SMEs with speaking opportunities as needed.
  • Analyze 1:1 campaign performance and optimize campaign activations.
  • Develop campaign reports or dashboards that provide at-a-glance performance.
  • Interpret key metrics or insights into next step recommendations for Sales.
  • Recommend new tools and ABM technology partners to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate across regional and global functions to ensure alignment and synergies.
  • Effectively manage people and stakeholders across the business and confidently present 1:1 strategy and results to large groups.
  • Be a brand steward ensuring our brand promise, designs and story are consistently being represented throughout the customer journey.

Required Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, advertising or public relations, required
  • 10+ years of business and/or sales and marketing experience, required
  • 7+ years of marketing/communications agency experience, preferred
  • Expert knowledge of leveraging Salesforce for marketing
  • Experience with ABM tools such as Terminus, preferred
  • Transportation/Logistics industry background and/or business unit industry experience, a plus
