Job summary:

J.P. Morgan Chase Bank NA (JPMCB) is a single bank branch in Mumbai rapidly expanding its revenue footprint in India. 

As the Treasury operations lead in India, you will be leading the Digital Platform Services (D&PS) Operations team supporting Corporate & Investment Banking business based in India, Mumbai Branch. This role covers the Markets business locally, including FX, Derivatives, Fixed Income & Money Markets.

The D&PS Operations teams develop and manage innovative, secure service solutions to meet clients’ needs globally. Developing and using the latest technology, teams work to deliver industry-leading capabilities to our clients and customers, making it easy and convenient to do business with the firm. Teams also steer growth by refining technology-driven customer and client experiences that put users first, providing an unparalleled experience.

Job responsibilities:

  • Define, guide and communicate the strategic direction of India Treasury Operations team
  • Empower teams and managers in developing a culture of open communication, collaboration, diversity and inclusion
  • Supporting Plan and implement strategies to ensure efficiency /re-engineering and simplification of processes to support business in achieving their targets and reduce operational costs.
  • Exhibits a full knowledge and thorough understanding of the entire Treasury Operations functions.
  • Ensuring good control and compliance to corporate policies and regulatory requirements which are relevant to Operations.
  • Achieve financial targets that include all costs, capacity and budget planning to steer business growth and sustainability.
  • Develop strong partnership with cross functional team with technology, sales, product, Client Services, Finance, Compliance and other operations groups at strategic level.
  • Keeps abreast of new technologies and applications and lead and motivate the team to manage changes.
  • Responsible for regulatory interface during onsite inspections, representing or leading market forums.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • University degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics/ Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Operations or Risk Management
  • Excellent knowledge of Markets businesses and products, including local regulatory reporting requirements
  • Strong managerial / leadership skills, ability to steer the change, think strategically and have agility to lead and follow new Digital agenda.
  • Good influencing and negotiation skills to lead the group independently while interfacing senior business partners and regulators on the ground (exhibit leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem solving, change management, etc.).
  • Strong technical and regulatory experience (covering Markets operations products and procedures)
  • Strong control and analytical mindset
  • Strong decision making capabilities and the ability to identify problems and propose solutions
  • Effective delegating, planning and time management skills to meet strict deadlines and team objectives
  • Adaptability in maintaining best standards practice and adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes or requirements
  • Commitment to providing high standards of quality client service
