It sounds easy, but bringing mobile first thinking plus decision driven data collection and user-focused social engagement all together in a fantastic product platform for the enterprise is hard. We do this better than anyone else.
We're funded by Bessemer Ventures, Floodgate, and KKR. We have an awesome culture and a team looking to build fun, engaging, high value solutions for the enterprise.
The best architectures aren’t made, they’re crafted. Building the "right” system is an intricate, ever evolving dance between business requirements, scalability, reliability, and speed. If you’re quick on your feet (so to speak), we want to talk to you about scaling DoubleDutch’s system to support our rapidly growing business.About our tech:
Shipping a large quantity of mobile apps creates interesting technical problems to solve. There's the operational challenge of packaging that volume of apps effectively. There’s the spiky nature of our traffic when tens of thousands of people simultaneously try to log in and slam the API. (Plus we serve millions of customers a year.) There’s our data pipeline that processes billions of data points -- we capture taps, swipes, and scrolls and report on them in real time.
And then there’s the fact that we’re coming on those startup awkward teen years where a monolithic codebase won’t scale much further. We’re moving off our .NET stack to more modern technologies, and we’re getting our data, automation, and deployment pipelines in order. Some of our new technologies and tools include: Java, Node.js, Go, Kafka, AngularJS, Postgres, and Docker.About you:
You’ve seen and built lots of different types of systems, both monolithic and distributed. You love the hottest, shiniest tech out there, but you know to temper your excitement when the tech hasn’t earned its place amongst the tried and true yet. You don’t shy away from a good debate, especially if it comes with a variety of opposing viewpoints. You do what you say, when you say you will. You probably won't ever give up writing code, and you get immense satisfaction from teaching others the thrill of the art.The requirements:
