Job Description

Purpose:

Key Global Supply Chain Finance lead for control and compliance across all Business units and regions.

Main purpose is the assets and procedures control in all Brambles service centres.

Brambles correct asset control is key and essential to the company in order to avoid risk that our raw material and hire stock balances are incorrectly reported, fraud not identified, with subsequent capital loss and cost.

Therefore, the main responsibility of the role is to develop, drive, monitor, analyse, manage, and control inventory of the assets at the service centres globally, engaging internally and externally with key stakeholders and service centres.

The role will be responsible to coordinate reporting and necessary actions, to ensure raw material and asset management controls. Manage documentation, procedures, and drive standardization across service centres globally. Coordinate a forum to review performance, share best practices, ensure correct reporting/ KRI and planning to key stakeholders.

Global Supply Chain Risk Owner of the asset control risk that need to be reported bi-annually to COO / Global Group Controller and SVP Risk & Control.

Key financial contract for SOF on the Global SC projects including cost control / financial planning and monthly reporting.

Global Supply Chain responsible for reporting and controlling the transformation outcome including dashboard generation and monthly senior management reporting

Accountabilities:

  • Review of practices, procedures within the service centers to drive conformance, reduce financial risk exposure and improve the governance around assets.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analyses to identify risks within asset control and areas for improvement. Coordinate financial data, to avoid incorrect management of assets, loss of control inaccurate reporting and planning, P/L negative impact and planning.
  • Coordinate and run all necessary KPI and financial analysis to protect our assets and raw material.
  • Run and design a control pack within Supply Chain all regions to report, control and manage our assets and raw material inventory.
  • Process Optimization and Standardization: Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and workflows across the organization. Develop and implement standardized processes to streamline operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives towards asset control.
  • Support to Other Departments in Asset Control and Standardization.
  • Collaborate with various departments to provide guidance and support in implementing best asset control initiatives. Act as a subject matter expert on asset cost control and best practices.
  • Specific KPI Creation and Follow-up such as : (KPIs) related to Asset control minimum controls: Aging of stock in transit, variance physical stock and the SAP book stock, scrap aging, control of timing over raw material and its consumption, control of AUC, review financial health service centers, review and control storage capacity and its constraints at 3PL, control of scrap, amount of disposal, over the returns, control on tests accounts, (among others)
  • Ensure active and accurate global risk profile update and reporting to audit and GSC committee.
  • SOPs, ensure process description is in place, reviews at regional level and to be standardized) in the main categories to perform a GAP analysis.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting asset control achievements, challenges, and recommendations. Communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ensure correct KRI to measure asset control to avoid incorrect P&L reporting, planning, impact, frauds, capital loss and costs.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks associated with asset control optimization strategies and develop mitigation plans. Maintain awareness of external factors that could impact asset control efforts.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to team members and colleagues on asset control and practices at regional and global level.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization, encouraging ongoing asset control and innovation.

Experience Required:

  • Relevant experience in asset cost control, inventory raw material, controls, supply chain processes.
  • Experience in driving documentation, and process standardization to drive hire stock asset controls, raw material, and financial reporting identifying risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Willing to travel both regionally and internationally and take a “boots on the ground” approach to developing new sources of supply.
  • Work experience in international matrix organizations across functions and cultures
  • Experience in delivering projects.
  • Experience in risk control
  • Excellence communication skills. Role will be global, with different key stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Tool creations for reporting, providing visibility in a timely, accurate manner.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Typically, candidates should have 7-10+ years of experience in roles related to finance, cost management, supply chain, or operations. The candidate should have a track record of increasing responsibilities and leadership.
  • Financial Analysis: Significant experience in financial analysis and planning, preferably in roles involving cost control analysis hire stock assets, raw materials, supply chain metrics.
  • Process Improvement: Experience in leading process optimization initiatives, implementing standardization, and driving efficiency gains and controls.
  • Cross-Functional Exposure: Exposure to collaborating with various departments like regional finance, FPA, supply chain, operations internally and externally.
  • Global management experience, coordination and collaboration as a key skill.
  • Project Leadership: Proven ability to lead complex projects related to cost optimization from inception to successful implementation.
  • Change Management: Hands-on experience in managing organizational changes, with a focus on gaining buy-in and maintaining productivity.
  • Reporting and Communication: A history of creating comprehensive reports and presenting findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and BW.
  • Power BI
  • Reporting programs: such as BRACS
  • Other technical programs desired: Power query/ SQL
