Slalom Consulting’s Organizational Effectiveness (OE) practice enables companies to get the most business value from their processes, technologies, and people. Our consultants are experienced business architects, change practitioners and learning specialists that bring the right solutions to each project. The ideal candidate will be a skilled, hands-on consultant with demonstrable experiences of delivering value and significant impact to businesses of different scale and scope, especially with regard to moving the needle on organizational transformation initiatives. S/he will come either from a top-tier strategy or human capital consulting firm and will be a strong leader with at least 5 years of related work experience.


Defining Your Success

As an Organizational Effectiveness consultant for Slalom San Francisco, you will have achieved the following within your first 12 months of employment:

§ You understood the client’s business to design effective organizational change, operating model, communication and/or process improvement programs to drive business benefits;

§ You designed, developed and led feedback-driven change management approaches;

§ You created and executed improvement plans adapted to the client environment;

§ You mentored clients, worked on projects independently, contributed as a team member, and/or lead teams of consultants and/or clients to successful project delivery;

§ You designed and conducted readiness assessments, evaluated results and presented findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner;

§ You created and managed measurement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes;

§ You identified resistance and performance gaps, and worked to develop and implement corrective actions;

§ You worked with project teams to integrate change management activities into overall project plans;

§ You led change leadership strategy, change sponsorship, stakeholder analysis, cultural assessment, change readiness, adoption & sustainability, communication (communication strategy / planning and/or communication execution) initiatives.

What You Possess

§ 5+ years of organizational change, process improvement and/or operating model experience;

§ Prior management consulting experience in a project-based, client-facing environment; ideally across multiple industries;

§ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution;

§ A history of mentoring and/or teaching others to use organizational change methodologies;

§ Ability to apply a structured change leadership approach and methodology for the people-sided change caused by projects and change efforts;

§ Ability to develop a change leadership strategy based on a situational awareness of changes and the groups impacted;

§ Ability to identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns;

§ Ability to develop a set of actionable and targeted change leadership plans, including a communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan.
