What is the opportunity?

You will ensure that the bank’s credit risk monitoring and control activities are sufficient to safeguard the bank’s lending activities and that all related credit exposures are duly monitored and managed in full accordance with the bank’s policies and relevant credit approval conditions with aim to obtain a “Satisfactory” audit rating in credit control processes.

What will you do?

  • Assist with daily monitoring of credit limits, management of collateral linkages for credit facilities and related credit exposures and support daily & periodic review of all credit accounts & positions
  • Monitor and confirm the adherence of credit approval conditions
  • Assist in preparation and review of daily and periodic monitoring reports including: overdraft, shortfall , close-out,  excess , documents out of order, next review dates, information and covenant information requirements; circulates reports and follows for responses as required
  • Establish new credit facilities in systems and input and maintain credit information in book of record and related databases to ensure all facilities are correctly recorded
  • Assist with preparation of reports for Management Information and Finance Department purpose s in relation to Credit as needed by region
  • Approve loan drawdowns and collateral releases as appropriate
  • Ensure CP sign-off in place, drawdown process complied with and collateral held prior to utilization of credit facilities
  • Ensure all Buildings Insurance policies and Property Valuations are up to date and in order and maintain and control the Wealth Management non-negs – ensuring all documentation is recorded


What do you need to succeed?


  • Strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills in the English language
  • Familiarity with credit legal verbiage, contracts, issues and documentation requirements
  • Ability to interpret loan approval terms and mechanics of credit facility agreements
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of computing systems, spreadsheets including formulas & calculations
  • Proven ability to learn and adapt to in-house credit and other workflow systems


  • Prior credit administration, report reconcilement and loan documentation experience within a private bank
  • Well organized, detail oriented, and extremely accurate
  • Ability to operate in highly active environment and adapt to rapid change
  • Some understanding of loan products including Loan, Overdraft, Standby Letters of Credit, and Guarantee Facilities
