  • Colorado Mountain Medical, Beaver Creek Medical Center, urgent care clinics in Vail, Dillon, Avon and Eagle, Edwards medical campus and Eagle Healthcare Center.
  • The Shaw Cancer Center and Sonnenalp Breast Center are the region’s only fully accredited cancer treatment center and comprehensive breast center. 
  • Vail Health is also leading the way in serving our communities’ behavioral health needs with outpatient behavioral health services at the Edwards Community Health Campus, and the Precourt Healing Center, a 28-bed in-patient behavioral health facility, opening in 2025.

About the opportunity:

Provides speech therapy services to patients to include assessment and treatment, development and implementation of program, and related professional in-services. Promotes services of the organization in order to meet business need of both the greater organization and individual clinics

What you will do:

1. Evaluate patients utilizing appropriate test and measures to determine the speech therapy problem/level of function and recommended treatment/discharge plan.

2. Has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patent care protocol relations to the physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs for all applicable patients.

3. Establishes speech therapy interventions based on the evaluation and examination, physician orders and patient’s goals for therapy.

4. Competently and safely perform appropriate speech therapy techniques and procedures.

5. Provide for continuity of patient care through written and verbal communication with other health care professionals.

6. Documents findings, patient progress, and all procedures performed within established time frames. Submits all patient billing at the end of each day.

7. Instructs patients/family members on home programs.

8. Facilitates smooth referral process across the organization for speech therapy needs.

9. Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.

10. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

What you will need:

Experience:

  • 3 years experience as a Speech Therapist required

License(s):

  • Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Colorado required.

Certification(s):

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Computer / Typing:

  • Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.

Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per year.

Yearly Pay:

$76,483.67—$114,725.52 USD

Some roles may be based outside of our Colorado office (remote-only positions). Roles based outside of our primary office can sit in any of the following states: AZ, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, KS, MA, MD, MI, MN, NC, NJ, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, and WI.
