Position Overview

The Business Strategy Analyst is a key support role for EMEA business strategy, providing a blend of quantitative data analytics, qualitative insights, trend monitoring, and market research. Collaborating closely with the X-brand assortment & Business Growth Strategy team, the Analyst shapes business strategy by contextualizing present and future performance across channels, regions, and brands.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and business approach and be able to quickly review and collaborate with business partners to articulate key business insights to Senior Management and other key stakeholders. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, a positive and proactive approach to problem-solving and a storytelling mindset to build compelling and value-driving stories out of large and diverse volumes of data.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy Analytics

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights for strategic decision-making
  • Build and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess business performance and recommend areas for improvement
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans and initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Develop data analytics initiatives to monitor strategic projects performance and business impact
  • Support the delivery of reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations
  • Maintain and enhance automated reporting systems for all special projects within the team
  • Contribute to the development of the team's analytics roadmap

Market Research & Trend Watch

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments to identify opportunities and threats to the business
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources, including market reports, industry publications, and online databases
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefings summarizing findings and insights for senior management and key stakeholders
  • Establish internal communication channel to disseminate business insights effectively to various teams

Ad Hoc Support

  • Assist the team with project management and development tasks
  • Support X-Brand and Strategy team in cross-functional tasks

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

  • Master Degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Economics, Management or any related field
  • Business experience preferred
  • Strong problem solving, detail-oriented quantitative and analytical abilities
  • Curious, self-motivated with a can-do attitude and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize
  • Critical thinker, capable of presenting complex data from multiple sources in engaging and action-driving formats
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • Comfortable working under time pressure
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are mandatory, Power BI a definite plus
  • Fluent in English, French or other languages are a plus
