Role Purpose:

The EMEA Logistics Manager will be dedicated to leading all logistics activities within the region for IA which will include indirect oversight of site level logistics personnel and 3PL warehousing teams to ensure flawless performance from order entry to shipment. Will drive improvements and productivity for logistics/warehousing aspects via major KPIs such as inbound/outbound logistics performance, cost, safety compliance, and on-time delivery. This position will partner with Manufacturing, Sourcing, IT, SIOP, Finance, and Sales to manage the distribution and transport strategy put in place to meet the needs of manufacturing and sales (internal customers). Will provide input for the development of the annual AOP for Logistics as well as be responsible to report on key metrics (Financial Results, Carrier Performance, Productivity Opportunity, etc) for monthly reporting around logistics metrics.

Partnering with key stakeholders to ensure the OTP/OTD goals and internal customer delivery requirements are met for all products shipped to/from the site

Accelerate innovation and process improvement while leading a team of talented workforce 

Influencing and driving a continuous improvement culture on the logistics process to achieve 7-10% productivity annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a network of multiple Honeywell manufacturing and warehousing sites
  • Create logistics strategy and lead the implementation
  • Implementation of TMS regionally including all modes of transportation
  • Analyze distribution network for efficiency opportunities (OTTPGI)
  • Manage overall operational targets of On Time to First Promise (OTFP)
  • Partner with internal customers to ensure constant communication and relationship building
  • Achieve annual budget targets for the business in freight spend
  • Evaluate material flow for total landed costs on project basis
  • Team with trade compliance to ensure timely execution of customs clearance
  • Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork
  • Drive team excellence and talent retention
  • Lead to drive continuous improvement culture
  • Improve freight audit and payment process

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of five years of global logistics, transportation and/or distribution experience
  • Three years of direct/indirect or matrix management or supervisory experience

WE VALUE

  • Experience in Supervision/Managerial/Project Management role
  • Significant experience in logistics, distribution, and warehousing
  • Some experience in planning, materials management, and/or inventory control
  • SAP knowledge and experience is a major advantage 
  • Power user in Excel 
  • APICS or Lean Six Sigma Certified preferred
  • Excellent collaboration and influence with management and cross function teams
  • Independent work initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, analytical ability and professional demeanor
  • Ability to lead and influence people/team and engage/mentor staff
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
