Welcome to join the Stryker/Jolife AB team in Lund where we develop and manufacture the LUCAS chest compression system; a life-saving medical device invented in Lund and used by emergency care professionals all over the world to treat sudden cardiac arrest patients.

The R&D Manager is responsible for leading our R&D team, to deliver and promote product innovation for the Circulatory product portfolio. This role operates within an international environment characterized by regulatory requirements and works in close collaboration with global customers as well as internal stakeholders within Stryker, including RAQAC, Operations and Marketing.

Is this you?

You have at least 8 years’ experience in an FDA, MDR or highly regulated industry; with at least 2 years’ in people management position. You have at least 6 years’ R&D experience and you have proficiency in current Medical Device Quality Management System standards, i.e. ISO 13485. You have good knowledge and experience within all parts of Design control e.g. DHF, Verification and validation.

You speak Fluent Swedish and English A key part of this role will be to work with international stakeholders across the world.

You have a Bachelor’s Degree In science, engineering or another relevant degree; Master’s degree is an advantage.

You love a Challenge A self-starter who enjoys problem solving and creating innovative solutions. You can organize and direct diverse activities in a changing environment, often under time pressure.

What will you do at Stryker?

• Lead a team of R&D professionals to deliver against business strategies for the Lund portfolio of products.
• Monitor, track and assess evolving user needs, technologies as well as regulations and guidance.
• Develop, review, and approve Design Control documentation.
• Interpret and apply governmental regulations, agency guidelines, and internal procedures to assure compliance, and assist the organization in driving implementation.
• Direct all R&D activities to ensure new product development meet user needs as well as regulatory requirements and customer quality expectations.
• Collaborate with global R&D authorities through direct engagement on matters related to product development.
