The Associate - Credit Risk Officer, supports the 2LOD CIB Corporate Credit Risk team on the reviews of credit applications submitted by the front office to prepare executive summaries for the management of the Credit Department. Scope of the analysis and review includes, but not limited, to quantitative and qualitative analysis of the CIB corporate clients credit risk, deal structure, facility terms and conditions, profitability, relationship strategy and monitoring of the assigned portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the review and challenge of the credit application submitted by the front office to ensure underwriting and risk rating are aligned with established underwriting credit standards, approval requirements and other policies and procedures.
  • Analyze various risk elements of credit risk, and present written executive summaries to the management of the Credit Department.
  • Supports the maintenance of credit quality and provide de feedback to the business unit to ensure consistent and complete credit applications in compliance with internal standards.
  • Portfolio Management: supports the review and challenge of the quarterly and annual monitoring for assigned portfolio.
  • Other credit related works/projects as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree and/or work experience.

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate credit risk.
  • 3-6 years of work experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of corporate credit risk and superior attention to details, ability to quickly focus on the key risk factors and visually present complex concepts.
  • Ability to manage deal volume in a fast-paced environment and analyze the credit application in a short timeframe.
  • Knowledge of legal documentation associated with credit risk.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

For NYC Job Applicants: The base annual salary range for this position is $112,125-$143,750. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
