BI and Analytics Platform Manager

Salary circa £70,000

This is a fantastic opportunity for a data professional to become part of the IT data community within Aviva. You will join at an exciting time for our data platforms and services, which form a core pillar of the organisational strategy, and are the focal point for multiple transformational initiatives planned over the coming years.

In this role you will lead and develop the BI and Analytics Platform, supporting multiple BI toolsets and over 9,000 users across Aviva. In an increasingly data intensive world, the BI and Analytics Platform allows business teams to unlock actionable insight and models, driving successful business outcomes on a self-serve basis.

A bit about the job:

Working within the Data & Analytics function in Aviva IT, you will:

  • Partner with the BI community and wider business teams to promote and grow our Business Intelligence and Analytics capabilities.
  • Keep pace with advancements in BI and Analytics tooling, approaches and capabilities to aid development of the future roadmap for the platform.
  • Lead and develop the BI and Analytics Platform team, ensuring skills and methodologies match business need, and shaping and developing the platform team for success.
  • Support effective change delivery through the platform, building high quality, timely solutions for our stakeholders.
  • Ensure operational effectiveness of the Platform, keeping it stable, performant and secure, and protecting our data.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

If you are passionate about data and have experience of successfully implementing and supporting BI tooling, capabilities and stakeholders, then we would love to hear from you. You will have:

  • The ability to successfully engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior leadership, to drive business capability and outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand way.
  • Experience in implementation and use of tools such as Power BI and Qlik.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, developing highly engaged, skilled, and productive teams.
  • An open and agile mindset, working collaboratively across teams, and continuously striving for excellence.

  • Starting salary circa £70,000 (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications)
