This role works closely with the VP of Operations and Property Management in the oversight of the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of each property management location, the Four Points Hotel and Conference Center, and third-party property management vendors.

Schedule & Location:

This is an exempt, office-based position in Waltham, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with senior leadership in strategic development of business plans and managing property management execution for the HBRE portfolio and individual assets, applying broad, cross-functional knowledge and resources to produce results that best fit the company strategy.
  • Leading new initiatives with business units.
  • Participating in conducting performance analysis of each asset.
  • Facilitating interdepartmental collaboration with construction, accounting/finance, and asset management and collaborating with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational planning.
  • Guide operations and property management teams in the implementation of strategic goals assigned by senior leadership and provide visibility into progress and obstacles of key initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities within the organization for efficiencies and improvement.
  • Develop and present business cases to senior management for approval and collaborate with departmental teams for implementation.
  • Analyze key metrics and design effective multi-year budget models for each asset which aligns with the overall asset strategy of the company.
  • Facilitate the necessary communication between property management, asset management, construction, and accounting to ensure assigned objectives are completed.
  • Assist with portfolio master planning and oversee execution.
  • Assist with diligence and underwriting on new acquisitions and redevelopment of current assets.
  • Collaborate with corporate real estate to develop mutually beneficial investment opportunity.
  • Oversee and manage portfolio-wide vendors, including building and maintaining vendor and partner relationships.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors Degree in Business, Management or Accounting/Finance required.

Highly Preferred Education:

  • Additional industry licenses and certificates.

Required Work Experience:

  • 7+ years of related experience.

Highly Preferred Work Experience:

  • 7 – 12 years of related experience in real estate operations and property management.
  • Project management experience.

Required Skills:

  • Strong relationship management and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and follow-through.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistent, high level of accuracy in work product.
  • Technology proficient, including intermediate-level MS Office skills, and industry related technology such as Yardi, Argus, and VTS; motivation and aptitude to learn new systems.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams; effective in the role of player-coach; ability to influence with and without direct authority. Capable implementing effective business solutions.
  • Ability to negotiate major contracts. Understanding of local and national trends in real estate and financial markets.
  • Adept at operating in and managing from the center of a matrixed, networked environment.

The hiring range for this position is $130,700-$187,800 annually. The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience.
