As a National Business Development Manager, you will be based in North Island, New Zealand, and report to the National Sales Manager, NZ.

You will maintain market share and sales of PPG products and services to the collision repair market, specifically with large end-users, consolidators, franchise, and multi-branch operations throughout New Zealand. To achieve this, you will work with National Sales and Regional Sales Managers to support the NZ sales team to target and win competitor business, focusing on medium-large collision shops, and Consolidators, in the Collision and Refinish LIC Industry.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to EH&S guidelines and procedures for safe work practices and educating customers.
• Increase sales and profit of the PPG Automotive Refinish range of products and services including Refinish, CPC, and consumables through the development of all business opportunities, both directly and through PPG’s Distributor network.
• Work with the sales team and distributors to identify competitor business.
• Take a role in the development and negotiation of the sole or preferred supplier status ensuring that PPG is regarded as their product offering and partner of choice.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience winning new business in the Refinish or a similar market.
• Build relationships at a high-level including operations management CEO and Board levels.
• Strategic planning and market research skills.
• Maintain a specific target list of new business prospects.
• Understanding of PPG’s business services offers including MVP, Paint Manager XI, and other software and reporting programs.
• Maintain an up-to-date pricing comparison and product comparison of competitor products.
