SCOPE OF POSITION
The revenue/inventory specialist is responsible for supply requests to include all consignment, evaluation, and direct purchase supplies for cardiac cath lab, managing and maintaining appropriate inventory levels. Responsible for charge entry and coding of all reportable diagnoses and procedures for inpatient and outpatient cath lab records at BRMC to assure optimal reimbursement, maintain data integrity and regulatory compliance. Must have sufficient knowledge of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, APC, MS-DRG payment schemes. Excellent computer, analytical, and presentation skills are necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must have acute care coding experience and RCIS or RN experience in cath lab/cardiology areas. Associates degree preferred.1-3 years experience with healthcare supplies and inventory management/ control – Excellent comprehension of computer based inventory control.
