KKR is looking for a Benefits and Wellness Specialist to help manage and administer EMEA/APAC health and welfare benefits, retirement, work-life, and wellness policies/programs. Based in Gurugram and reporting to the Vice President of EMEA/APAC Benefits in London, this individual will be responsible for managing the day-to-day benefits operations as well as assisting with the strategy development of EMEA/APAC benefits and wellness.

The Benefits and Wellness Specialist will help manage key initiatives to enhance KKR’s EMEA/APAC benefits and wellness programs, achieve greater efficiencies in vendor service delivery, and optimize KKR employees’ understanding and utilization of benefits plans. This is a challenging role where you will use your analytical, vendor management and project management skills as well as your creativity and resourcefulness to execute the benefits and wellness strategy.

This role is based onsite in the KKR Gurugram office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing EMEA/APAC benefits plans and associated vendor and broker relationships.
  • Support the UK annual enrollment cycle, pension auto-enrollment and LLP administration as well as broader EMEA/APAC benefits renewals.
  • Develop and maintain a strong technical understanding of the EMEA/APAC benefits market across a broad range of benefits.
  • Respond to employee inquiries that are submitted to the EMEA and APAC benefits mailboxes and work with the carriers and/or our brokers to resolve employee issues.
  • Assist with executing EMEA/APAC benefits strategies by benchmarking local market/peer firm practices, participating in and completing surveys, identifying gaps, and implementing innovative, market-leading solutions that align with KKR’s culture and values.
  • Contribute to the development of a business case to support benefit change recommendations.
  • Support in the tracking of legislative updates and execution of required updates needed in order to provide compliant programs.
  • Help refine a governance framework and drive operational efficiencies across all EMEA/APAC benefit programs and systems.
  • Work closely with local offices to deploy programs and manage day-to-day benefit operations including, but not limited to oversight of invoicing/billing, HRIS updates/maintenance, and employee escalations.
  • Partner with Finance/Payroll teams to ensure thorough analysis, trend forecasting, and budgeting to inform effective business planning for both short- and long-term needs.
  • Develop impactful marketing and communication materials and policy documents; accountable for all EMEA/APAC benefits-related communication plans and delivery. This includes drafting and customizing ongoing email communications, maintaining and updating the Benefits hub on the Human Capital portal and creating and maintaining local Benefits Guides.
  • Conduct new hire benefits orientation sessions and work with internal and external stakeholders for benefits onboarding and offboarding.
  • Support leaves of absence administration, including educating employees on the time off plans and supporting resources that KKR offers, drafting a summary of the leave of absence timeline, broken out by statutory and company leave allotments, entering leaves into Workday, and validating medical certificates or other supporting documentation, when necessary.
  • Contribute to the creation of the annual wellness strategy, focus and events and execution of the strategy through coordination with local office managers and vendors to deploy successful activities and events, including onsite flu jab clinics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, HR, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with EMEA/APAC employee benefits plan development and delivery.
  • Track record of managing health and wellness and work-life programs.
  • Experience in international retirement plans from a design, implementation and governance standpoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working within the field of benefits strategy development, administration and governance across EMEA/APAC.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefits plan design including healthcare and retirement plan/pension schemes along with associated complexities of plan administration, associated payroll processes, country level regulatory requirements and benefits taxability.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced and pressurized environment.
  • Successful record of building efficient operational processes and demonstrating influence with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills while working with regional and global teams – ability to interface with all levels of the organization, including business leaders.
  • Motivated self-starter with a strong client service mentality and ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of accountability, sound personal judgment and commercial acumen, including an understanding of competitor offerings and general marketplace with the ability to use data to influence key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability in vendor management and establishing effective partnerships with external service providers to ensure quality service.
  • Experience managing processes, reporting and updating benefits data in HRIS systems such as Workday.
