What you will do:
Stryker’s Principal Interaction Designer leads User Experience (UX) strategy and User Interface (UI) design activities. Collaborating with engineering and marketing partners, this role is responsible for the development of digital product platforms and systems. Proven Human Centered Design (HCD) skills are required to define and design appropriate UX, function, aesthetic, usable, and quality solutions.
The Principal Interaction Designer plays a central role in planning and leading user observation research, synthesis, and prioritization of insights. With experience in techniques such as empathic interviewing, journey maps, user vignettes, information architecture, cognitive evaluation, wireframes and interaction patterns, successful candidates will bring a variety of approaches to the product development process. The Principal Interaction Designer is responsible for delivering compelling user interface design solutions that deliver meaningful value to our customers. Merging an understanding of user and business needs, successful candidates should have the technical and management skills to lead the definition and development of UX solutions. Our strongest candidates should be familiar with trends in digital design and technologies while bringing a strategic approach to insight gathering and creative problem solving. Applicants should demonstrate proven design leadership and mentorship skills.
