Job Summary:

As the Senior Manager of Digital Product, you'll drive innovation in our Digital and Payments business units. Collaborate closely with senior management to leverage your expertise in digital banking and payments, shaping an advanced operational model and delivering exceptional consumer experiences for our clients.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Product Management: drive product roadmap for a variety of digital initiatives focused on bringing additional product and services, including open banking and value-added processing solutions, that capitalize on Central 1’s strengths on payment processing and core banking system integrations
  • Strategy & Planning: help define vision for Central 1 Platform components and services, and drive execution including market research and competitive intelligence, go-to-market planning, and pricing and business case development
  • Build Internal Relationships: align, collaborate, and partner with organizational stakeholders (Technology, Payments, Marketing & Communications, Client Relations, Finance, etc.) to develop and execute on business strategies
  • Build External Relationships: develop client and industry partner relationships to better understand credit union system needs and opportunities
  • Reporting and P&L Management: track key product and program KPIs, and manage P&L, as required, leveraging data assets, market intelligence, client insights and digital banking/payments expertise

What you’ll have:

  • 10+ years of product management experience, ideally within the Canadian banking and payments sectors working with multi-sided ecosystems
  • Good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen, with solid understanding on the architecture, product design and development, business models and go to market for API-based platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to summarize ideas and issues (both complex business and technical), and concisely present to clients, partners and senior leadership
  • Deep understanding of banking operations and/or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes
  • Familiarity with ISO 20022, ISO 8583 and API technology an asset
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms and workflows an asset
  • Belief in customer centric product design, with a focus on both customer empathy and data/financials driven product decisions
  • A self-starter with a proven ability to operate within fluid environments and lead change/introduce process improvements
  • Track record of executing strategic initiatives that drive profitability and growth
  • University degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline. MBA and/or advanced degree preferred

Salary: $116,800

The salary represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
