As Global companies explore opportunities to optimize their operational efficiency, you will help our clients understand areas to achieve operational excellence by examining their Source 2 Pay processes and tools including Procurement governance, Business Partnering, Category Management, Sourcing and Contracting, Supplier Management, Purchasing and Payments, Procurement Analytics, Procurement Technology Management. You will help our clients by crafting a strategy in line with their long-term goals or by implementing innovative and data driven digital solutions to drive speed to value. You will lead cross competency teams within EY to bring the greatest value for our clients. You will craft and manage commercially viable engagements for EY. 

Business Development 

The purpose of this role is to help position EY for growth within the Source 2 Pay function across industry sectors, e.g., Advanced manufacturing & mobility, Consumer products & retail, Energy & resources, Financial Services, Government & Infrastructure, Health sciences and wellness, Private equity, Technology, Media, and telecommunications. You will help to develop the Source 2 Pay capability within our Supply Chain & Operations/ Global Business Services team, help author thought leadership material, help develop our ‘Go to Market’ strategy, develop sales collateral and solution materials to position EY in the market. You will learn about the various competencies and capabilities within EY. You will play an active role in the sales to delivery lifecycle of engagements. 

Responsibilities. The Senior Manager or Manager in Supply Chain & Operations – Procurement Advisory, will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple projects, through the process, controls, and technology enablement opportunities in the following areas across Source 2 Pay processes.
  • Develop strategic procurement solutions tailored to the specific needs of each client.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives within procurement to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Streamline systems and processes to facilitate procurement operations on a global scale.
  • Implement change management initiatives that ensure a smooth transition in procurement strategies.
  • Monitor procurement market trends and advise teams and client businesses accordingly.
  • Engage in business development activities, including identifying potential opportunities, facilitating proposal preparation and presentation.
  • Mentor and manage a team of consultants, fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and success.

Our requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related fields. Master’s degree/MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain. Experience at a management consulting firm highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in managing significant client relationships and delivering successful procurement consulting services.
  • Highly seasoned project management skills and ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills complemented by sound analytical abilities.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization, sometimes without authority
  • Strong executive facilitation skills related to strategy development and problem solving
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills (including presentations), as well as listening and interpretation skills
  • Willingness to go out of your comfort zone to break new grounds and explore part of your Industry Market with which you are not most familiar
  • Proficiency in English (C1 or higher)
  • A keen appetite for technology (eg, Ariba, Coupa, Zycus, Fieldglass, Beeline, ServiceNow, Apex) and innovation while having a technology agnostic perspective.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook) is required. Experience with Alteryx (or other data transformation apps), Visio, and PBI are preferred.
  • Being flexible for travel, as the client services may require.
