Primary Responsibilities:

The Associate Designer is responsible for creating and executing original design concepts to formulate seasonal concepts that fit the current market demographics. Design products from concept through completion with a focus on function, quality and creativity.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of seasonal menswear trends, colors, and styling.
• Innovate and develop fabrics that align with brand aesthetics, considering both creativity and production requirements.
• Stay updated on market trends to introduce unique details and enhance product distinctiveness.
• Collaborate closely with the design team to create initial pattern concepts, managing approval processes for handlooms, strike-offs, lab dips, etc.
• Generate thorough and timely spec packages for each garment, adhering to technical design standards and contributing to those for the design team
• Attend fittings to understand and effectively communicate the intended fit of each garment.
• Stay updated on industry competition, creative trends, and market dynamics through regular shopping, reading trade magazines, and staying informed about relevant issues, movies, and events.

Skills and Requirements: 

• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role. 
• Proficiency in product knowledge and fabrics with a keen eye for color. 
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, textiles, and trims. 
• Solid understanding of the entire product development lifecycle. 
• Excellent organizational, communication, note-taking, and follow-up skills. 
• Ability to work autonomously on projects. 
• Strong multitasking abilities with adaptability to shifting priorities. 
• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with an entrepreneurial mindset 
• Experience in 3-D Browzwear or similar programs is a must 
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products 

Compensation/Benefits:

• The approximate annual base salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $70,000.00. The offered salary or salary range for this position will vary based on role requirements, skill set and years of experience.
