Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Demand and Supply Specialist to join our dynamic Operations team in the APAC region. The Demand and Supply Specialist will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain operations by forecasting demand, managing inventory levels and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products to customers across APAC.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Forecasting:

  • Utilize historical data, market trends and customer insights to accurately forecast demand for LenelS2 products in the APAC region
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing and product management teams to gather relevant information and refine demand forecasts on a regular basis
  • Evaluate and adjust demand forecasts based on changing market dynamics, customer requirements and other external factors

Inventory Management:

  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete stock
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure adequate stock availability to meet customer demand
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory turnover, reduce carrying costs, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency

Supply Planning and Coordination:

  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to develop supply plans that align with demand forecasts and production capacity
  • Monitor supplier performance, lead times and quality metrics to ensure on-time delivery of materials and components
  • Proactively identify supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions and minimize impact on operations

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, product management, finance and logistics to align demand and supply plans, collectively working towards business objectives and revenue targets
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to provide updates on demand forecasts, inventory status and supply chain performance
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and initiatives to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organization

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPI’s) related to demand forecasting, inventory management and supply chain performance
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing key insights, trends, and actionable recommendations for senior management review
  • Leverage data analytics tools and methodologies to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction within the supply chain

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS, CPIM) is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management or related roles, preferably within the technology or manufacturing industry
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and develop actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across different functional areas and organizational levels
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g. Oracle, Demantra, …), advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiency within a supply chain environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines
