Overview

This position will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting across multiple offices and for multiple level positions. This role, within the Talent Management division, is one of the most important, especially as the first experience with the Pape-Dawson Culture.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the full life-cycle recruiting process: identify, recruit, screen and recommend candidates to fill open positions as well as extend offers and begin the on-boarding process
  • Aid in marketing the Pape-Dawson Engineers brand by establishing a recognizable employer of choice reputation, both internally and externally
  • Create job postings for existing and new positions
  • Use traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and source candidates. Resources may include candidate resumes from attending career fairs and on campus interview days; placing job postings on various job boards and niche websites; networking through social media and employee referral programs.
  • Utilize industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and industry events or any other avenue to create relationships with candidates for roles within Pape-Dawson
  • Review applicant qualifications to determine the fit for a position
  • Conduct regular follow up meetings with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of a recruiting strategy, especially for hard to fill positions
  • Work with the Marketing department to develop programs for high visibility of the Company brand with potential candidates and employees
  • Effectively communicate Company information such as job expectations, compensation, and benefits to candidates
  • Manage recruitment process and candidate activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and maintains reports on recruiting activity
  • Develop and maintain various recruiting reports
  • Manage recruitment process in accordance with federal, state and local regulations as well as Company practices and processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7 years' experience with full-cycle recruiting in a technical industry
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in the development of professional relationships with candidates
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proven ability to build, foster and maintain professional relationships with all level of employees within an organization
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices, especially as it relates to the recruitment and selection process 
  • Ability to work within a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information
  • Skilled in varied computer software applications
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative in managing job tasks and priorities
  • Must be able to travel overnight on occasion
  • Must be able to work 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recruiting experience within the AEC industry is preferred
