PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position will directly support the provision of Physical Therapy services. The increase of throughput would improve access to our high demand services as well as improve outcomes.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Gotham Physical Therapy services consistent with NYS practice guidelines for a licensed Physical Therapist
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Physical Therapist will provide direct patient care as an evaluating therapist as well as supervision of Physical Therapy Assistant interventions in accordance with NYS practice guidelines.
1. A Baccalaureate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college and a valid New York State license to practice physical therapy as provided for in Section 6730 through 6734 of the New York State Education Law; or,
2. A Baccalaureate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college and a valid one-year limited permit to practice physical therapy in New York State, pending receipt of license as provided for in Section 6735 of the New York State Education Law.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

NYS Physical Therapist
EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy as a Minimum
KNOWLEDGEABLE IN:
Outpatient Physical Therapy treatment modalities, Manual therapy techniques, Joint mobilizations, experienced with Chronic Pain and therapeutic exercise applications
EQUIPMENT/MACHINES OPERATED:
Thermo and Electrical modalities
COMPUTER PROGRAMS/SOFTWARE OPERATED
EPIC, Point Click Care, Rehab Optima
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1-2 years
