Job Description: Assistant Manager - Analytics Services Operations

Portfolio Services is an integrated suite of client services that ensures consistent, accurate and timely nightly processing of portfolio and security level returns and analytics. The Portfolio Services Reconciliation Team conducts daily analytics research on client portfolios. We address security analytics issues. The team closely supports and coordinates with other Portfolio Services stakeholders to ensure clients’ analytics data are quality assured in real-time, and to address questionable inputs or settings in their holdings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To manage and supervise the efforts of the team. The role comes with the responsibility of overseeing the productivity, workflow, and efficiency of the assigned team as well as performance management, team development and recruitment. Success in this role will depend on effective leadership, collaboration, and coordination with cross-functional groups.
  • Strong skills to manage location-level performance management for responsible team/s.
  • Perform efficient workforce management that includes capacity planning, shrinkage control, leave management, BCP management, time tracking, KPIs of the teams, etc.
  • Report to and coordinate with Manager and collaborate closely with Product Manager(s) and the portfolio services stakeholders to manage all analytics work of direct reports.
  • Communicate objectives and provide direction and perspective to the team leaders i.e., direct reports and all the team members to attain team goals and deliverables.
  • Perform location-level data analysis, data synthesis and communicate this information in actionable form.
  • Set up new teams and groupings based on new business directions.
  • Develop new or enhance existing team goals and objectives.
  • Roll out global initiatives that is not always popular but intended to improve overall operations.
  • Implement succession planning across ranks to ensure healthy pipeline of leaders.
  • Managing the incoming work requests and ensure they are fairly divided among team members.
  • Set and manage team workload and accountabilities to maximize team productivity and output.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of equity and fixed income terms and analytics at a conceptual and application level.
  • Report to and consult manager(s) for work-related questions and concern.
  • Demonstrate granular knowledge of the different tools, utilities and processes used by the team to execute and manage quality assurance processes.
  • Implement performance metrics to capture analyst performance and contributions to overall team success.
  • Coach and Mentor team members, as well recognize top performers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and ensure timely feedback to all team members.
  • Establish the ability to roll out Performance Improvement Plans when appropriate.
  • Actively manage and share ideas to improve work processes and output.
  • Help with recruitment by filling in pipeline for candidates.

PREREQUISITES (Eligibility criteria – Skills required)

  • University Degree holder – MBA/Business Management, Business Administration, Financial Management, Mathematical Finance, Economics or equivalent - and in good standing.
  • Post-graduate degree and/or certifications preferred.
  • Strong Finance knowledge. Experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, logic/coding an advantage.
  • Current designation should be Senior Team Leader or equivalent role.
  • Minimum 12 to 24 months of relevant work experience as Senior Team Leader
  • Total work experience should be a minimum of 6 years.
  • Should have minimum of 2 years’ experience managing large/ global teams.
  • Possess the experience and capability of managing a team size of more than 50 – 60 analysts and team leaders between 5-8 in headcount.
  • Have had exposure to 24x7 operations, including actual work rendition during US and Philippines/India-based holidays.
  • Experienced in follow the sun model in supporting global clients.
  • Ability to work in hybrid setup, where RTO is greater than WFH opportunities.
  • Experience in and/or willingness to manage different work shifts, including being assigned to Tuesday-Saturday work schedule.
  • Familiar with people issues that could arise from a high-headcount type of operations, including workable solutions to these.
  • Demonstrated strength in analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated effective operation management skills.
  • Demonstrated effective resource management skills, including talent development and coaching skills.
  • Strong organizational & interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Good command of the English language – written and oral
