About Travel Retail

Travel Retail Americas oversees all Travel Retail operations across the Americas (over 900 points of sale) including airports, cruise ships, airlines, downtown duty-free stores, and border stores.

The role as a retail designer for L’Oreal Travel Retail Americas is to guarantee the best brand image and excellence of our brands at the points of sale by adapting the Retail Design Guidelines to the TR channel. Overseeing multiple brands from concept to installation, the retail designer is the key stakeholder of our brands’ personalization, collaborating with internal teams (mkt, commercial) to working with suppliers and clients, all across the Americas. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the project management and implementation of Corporate Brand Guidelines to permanent fixture projects in POS all across Travel Retail Americas 
  • Overseeing multiple projects from initial brief to final installation 
  • Provide support and solutions on technical challenges, while collaborating with the suppliers to find best solution
  • Keep track of assigned brand budget -while negotiating with suppliers on costs 
  • Ensure high quality installations 
  • Collaborate with marketing team in the zoning and merchandising of each project

Required Qualifications:

  • Years of Experience : 2-3 years experience in retail design/interior design/architecture/industrial design preferred
  • Skills (soft and hard)
  1. Project Management 
  2. Multi project management
  3. Detail and solutions oriented 
  4. Organized, ability to work well under pressure 
  5. Team oriented and collaborative spirit 
  6. Strong communication skills 
  • Education Requirements – Bachelor’s in architecture, design, industrial design, interior design (or equivalent). Master’s is a plus. 
  • Technical Skills: Sketchup, Autocad, Adobe Creative Suite (Ai, Ps, InD), Microsoft Office Suite
  • Languages – English required, and Spanish/French a plus.
  • Certification in Sustainability a plus
  • Certification in Project Management a plus
