Responsible for Process Engineering activities and productivity improvement initiatives. Lead, Coordinate, Coach & Mentor Lean Coordinators for higher performance with effective execution rigor.

Job Description

  • Develop efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
  • Optimize existing processes to enhance performance and reduce waste.
  • Conduct simulations and modeling to identify potential improvements.
  • Maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs, flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Evaluate equipment and technologies for specific processes.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and recommend upgrades.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges.
  • Implement quality control measures to meet established standards.
  • Collaborate with QA to develop and maintain control procedures.
  • Ensure process adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement measures.
  • Monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness of improvements.
  • Work closely with other departments for seamless process integration.
  • Train personnel on new technologies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Manage projects related to process improvement and facility expansion.
  • Collect and analyze data for informed decisions on process modifications.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Knowledge of cycle time studies, motion studies, and process mapping.
  • Hands-on experience in lean manufacturing, line balancing, layout change.
  • Sound knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes, particularly assembly.
  • Monitor capacity utilization and prepare MIS on processes.
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies, BOM, and routing preparation.
  • Prepare process documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, control plans.
  • Facilitate and train operators for process changes, projects, and ECNs.
  • Understand DFA, low-cost automation, and initiatives for PQCDSM improvement.
  • Standardize processes as per global standards.
  • Estimate labor costs and capital investments for NPI.
  • Knowledge of tool selection, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of engineering designs and specifications.
  • Translate engineering BoM into manufacturing BoM and define routing in PLM.
  • Point of contact for tracking, monitoring, and reporting lean deployment progress.
  • Deploy a plant-lean strategy.
  • Digitize manufacturing processes.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Electrical / Electronics /Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 7 to 10 + years of Experience
  • LEAN practices.
  • Experience leading teams in earlier roles.
  • Knowledge of inverter manufacturing functions and exposure to quality, engineering, lean and testing, or engineering processes.
  • Good analytical skills and a systematic approach to narrowing down technical issues.
  • English proficiency in reading and writing.
