Channel Sales Manager III

The Channel Sales Manager III will lead the company’s sales efforts in the HVAC division throughout Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arizona, and Louisiana. This channel is primarily through HVAC distribution via Manufacturers Representatives.

This position will serve Friedrich Air Conditioning Division customers in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arizona, and Louisiana. Our ideal candidate is based in Texas near a major airport.

  • Leverage your knowledge of the HVAC distribution channel to increase revenue, margin, and market share.
  • Work hand in hand with Manufacturer Representatives to increase the penetration of Friedrich products in existing and new distributors.
  • Establish business plans to drive growth with each distributor customer, including sales strategies, forecasts, marketing, and training.
  • Focus on account management by providing channel insights that contribute to the sell-through forecast process by developing an intimate understanding of your customer’s business.
  • Seek opportunities to maximize Friedrich’s position in the market by building relationships with new partners – both Manufacturer Reps and Distributors – and identifying new/different channels to grow.
  • Partnership – work closely with other departments within Friedrich to ensure we are easy to do business with for our customers. Departments such as, but not limited to: Marketing, Credit, Finance, SIOP, Product Management, Technical Support, and Engineering.
  • Provide base-level technical assistance when needed for customers.
  • Contribute to developing sales training and conducting sales training for customers.
  • Travel up to 65% as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years working with Regional Distributors.
  • Minimum of five (5) years working with Manufacturers Reps.
  • Proven ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships with management, customers, and peers.
  • Proven track record of driving new sales growth.
  • Possess exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Able to conduct a product training seminar at any level.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Must provide strong dealer support and follow-through. 
  • Supportive and interactive with fellow workers both in and out of the sales channel.
  • Must be capable of traveling extensively.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to complete and pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening required.

HOW TO STAND OUT:

  • MBA or similar Advanced Education
  • Technical experience in similar products (i.e. Technical Diploma in HVACR)
  • HVACR product experience.
