Senior Project Engineer - Metals Process

You will be working as Senior Project Engineer - Metals Process at global grade 13 and will be part of Process Automation business for Process Industries division based in Bhubaneshwar, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for performing installation supervision, maintenance and process related issue resolution using ABB automation system at client sites.

Your responsibilities

• Diagnosing technical issues, troubleshooting and providing timely solutions
• Collaborating with customers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions
• Documenting service activities, including reports and maintenance logs. Utilizing all relevant tools, reporting work done in a timely manner and follow-up when needed
• Providing training to clients on ABB automation system and maintenance procedures
• Coordinating with internal teams to escalate complex issues and drive resolution
• Staying updated on product developments and industry trends to enhance service delivery

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical / electrical and electronics engineering
• Require 5 to 7 years of experience in automation solutions by similar suppliers in metal industry
• Hands on experience in service, maintenance, commissioning and customer Management
• Good knowledge in ABB automation systems like 800xA, Compact HMI, ABB ACS800 / 880 multi drive, standalone drives, DCS600, DCS800, DCS880 etc
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
