Role Description

The Chief Information Security Office (CISO) as part of the TDI Chief Security Office is responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy and program to ensure information assets are adequately protected. CISO India directs staff in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining processes across the organization to reduce information security risks, respond to incidents, establish appropriate standards and controls and direct the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures.

The regional CISO team supports the organization within a dedicated region at the appropriate regional, control, governance and anti-fraud committees to ensure cyber security risks and associated events are recognized on regional or legal entity level as required by corporate governance and regulators.

The Information Security Specialist assists the India CISO t in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining processes across the organization to

  • reduce information security risks,
  • respond to information security incidents,
  • establish appropriate standards and controls,
  • and direct the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures

With the Group ISeC as basis, the Information Security Specialist supports the India CISO function’s representation of information security within internal / external committees.

Your key responsibilities

Main responsibilities

The roles will be at a AVP level and will report into the a CISO IS Manager within APAC CISO Management.

The main responsibilities and tasks of an Information Security Specialist are the following:

Within Deutsche Bank :

  • Support engagements with country management, business and participate in local governance forums
  • Support the team in discussions of information security topics with existing and potential customers along with the country businesses and where necessary the representatives from the Global CSO functions
  • Communicate country information security incidents and dissemination of information security alerts to country management
  • Participate in the management of security incidents in the region
  • Coordinate internal / external audit for the region
  • Participate in governance of large outsourcing projects in the region
  • Maintain oversight of CISO services and project delivery within the region
  • Monitor regulatory requirements to keep abreast of information security issues which may impact the Bank’s IT operations.
  • Partner with key management on a regular basis, to identify, communicate, and reduce the impact of significant IS risks for the business.
  • Participate proactively in CISO initiatives and programs, and provide timely responses to ad-hoc queries.
  • Manage and promote CISO projects.

Regulatory and Industry Engagement :

  • Support regulator interaction for the country (based on information provided centrally)
  • Participate in regional/country industry forums.
  • Work closely with CISO Regulatory and Client Engagement Team member in the region

Your skills and experience

  • 4+ years of experience in an Information Security role / Technical Role
  • Broad experience across business and infrastructure disciplines as well as regulatory interaction including regulatory portfolio management, internal & external audit facilitation, performance and risk assessment and technology & operational service delivery at both Global and Regional level
  • Experience evaluating and designing business and operational measures, managing complex change agendas and driving strategy formulation and service delivery
  • Experience interacting with senior management at an organization of similar size
  • Technical expertise in one or more areas of information security
  • Seasoned CISO professional with relevant experience, possessing a strategic and operational understanding of risk frameworks as well as Regional trends and best practices for managing information security within large, complex banking organizations
  • Ability to communicate with knowledge and credibility to all levels of management, including appropriate management committees, offering well considered information security solutions and recommendations
  • Skilled in interacting with executive management and collaborating with peer Business and Infrastructure Function managers to leverage available resources and talent
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree
