Market Development Agronomist 

POSITION PURPOSE:

The main responsibility of MD Agronomist is to ensure lay out of multiplatform field experiments to testify the launch significance of innovation and ensure its fitment to our tailormade solution. Good quality data generation and timely transmission for better analytics to influence launch strategy of the innovation of crop science technologies in IBSL cluster. Being a key technical leader of Agronomy at field ensuring the confidence at internal stakeholders like sales, marketing colleagues. Prime point of customer feedback generation to identify met and unmet needs to be a part of idea generation for influencing future innovation from Bayer. Ensure License to operate of crop science working closely with the key regulatory / university / research organizations. 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute field experimentation strategy of MD in sales geographies.
  • Ensure quality trial implementation and data generation for enabling the organization to fine tune and decide right solutions to the IBSL cluster.
  • Transfer the technical value proposition of our technologies, products and agronomic systems to cluster market development.
  • Key resource in ensuring License to operate with key interface to provincial regulator, Agriculture universities, research organizations.
  • Understand the yield environment, technical and commercial demands of the regional / cluster agronomic system. Diagnose the best practices and needs of our customers in order to anticipate market demands.
  • Implementation of the Market Development’s knowledge transfer plan, including the appropriated in-person events (Crop tours, centers of excellence, tailor made solution testing plots, crop specialism trainings et)
  • Generate and cultivate a strong relationship with key local stakeholders in other to better understand the local agronomic system.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Agronomist bachelor’s degree or other correlated courses in Agriculture (Forestry, Agriculture Engineer etc.) or Biology.
  • Specializations, Master or Doctorate are considered as a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Advanced Product, Portfolio & Agronomic Knowledge (rice, vegetables soybeans, corn, cotton, crop protection and agronomic practices)
  • Basic knowledge of Business Engagement Plans
  • Advanced knowledge of Digital Tools / Analytics
  • Intermediate Field Research skill
